On Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to the amazing Dorchester Hotel in London Town for an afternoon of pampering with Asda Little Angels nappies.
After walking through crowds of very excited Tom Petty fans (he was playing at Hyde Park) and taking the wrong turning a couple of times (ok, 4 times – don’t trust iPhone maps), I made it to one of the glammest, most extravagant places I’ve ever been – The Dorchester.
I was directed to the beautiful Spatisserie (which by the way is the dream baby shower venue FYI) and was instantly in heaven with a cool mocktail and air conditioning, aka the way to a preggo woman’s heart when it’s 20-odd degrees outside.
The afternoon was a dream. Afternoon tea, unlimited cakes and strawberries and cream, plus I had the best massage of my life, it was incredible. I’ve never felt so relaxed and could have quite easily dropped off and got my eight hours for the night there.
As well as being truly spoiled and pampered, Claire and Nicole from Asda Little Angels were on hand to talk to us about the range of nappies and other products the brand offer. Would you believe it the average parent changes their baby’s nappy 4,500 times?! That’s a ridiculous amount so its important to make sure that not only are the nappies you use great value for money but also the very best quality for baby.
I honestly had no idea how much testing and research went into nappies but it’s fair to say that the Little Angels range has thought of everything. In all Newborn nappies there’s an elasticated back to help hold those poo explosions that always seem to happen when you’re in the middle of a crowded coffee shop (clearing the place in seconds), as well as a handy size-up guide to ensure baby is in the right size nappy and a clever umbilical cord cutout to avoid irritation for baby (I remember when Harley was a baby we used to have to roll the front of the nappy down as we used another brand). Plus the nappies are the softest things I’ve ever felt.
Other products in the range include the follow-on Comfort and Protect nappies, First Pants, which hold an exclusive licencing agreement with Peppa Pig, and Swim Nappies and Pants. In fact Asda Little Angels is the only brand on the market that offers a swim nappy, which is perfect for baby’s first trip to the swimming pool.
We’re just about to start potty training with Harley (anybody got any recommendations or tips?) so we’re about to switch to the Peppa Pig First Pants, and I’m definitely going to be giving the Newborn range a go when our baby arrives at the end of the year.
And I’ve got to give the team at Myriad PR a shout-out too, thanks for a great afternoon. The goody bag was pretty amazing too!
