Getting it together.

Ahh it’s been a while. The past month or so seems to have flown by at mega speed and I somewhere along the way I lost my shit.

We’ve had a household sickness bug (urgh), Harley has started preschool, Tom has started a new job, Ada is almost nine months old (HOW?!) and my slightly organised demeanour has gone to pot – I’m so bad at change.

I’m back! After a few bad weeks I’m finally ready to get my shit together.

Along the way Ada has become extremely mobile and ridiculously mischievous; she’s crawling and rolling everywhere, and regularly scares the life out of me by getting herself under pieces of furniture and attempting to eat LEGO, nappy rash cream and stickers. She is also the cutest most beautiful little thing so I’ll let her off for the several mini heart attacks she gives me a day.

The sickness bug floored us all, left Ada with no appetite for a week and made me vom until my eye bleed. On my birthday. FUN. It did however help me shift a few stubborn pounds of leftover baby weight so swings and roundabouts and all that jazz.

Harley is now at our local preschool every afternoon for three hours. This is a major achievement for us. Harley hasn’t ever been left with anyone other than us and his grandparents (except for a rather unsuccessful attempt at nursery last year) so it’s not been the easiest transition and drop-offs are still quite tough. But the tears seem to have stopped and he’s gradually unwrapping his fingers and legs from around me slightly quicker so the teachers can take him into the classroom. It’s been a tough few weeks but I think we’re getting there now and his teachers are amazing.

This post is a bit of a mind dump. The last couple of weeks I’ve lost my writing mojo and general day-to-day organisation but I’m determined to get back on track. I’ve started planning for Christmas, have began writing epic to-do lists and actually been able to cross a few things off, and have lots of ideas of things I want to do on here. I’ve even been able to Harpic the toilet every morning for the last seven days Mrs Hinch-style so I must be doing something right.

Also as a sidenote, mom jeans are now my new favourite thing.
